HRH Princess Royal meets IBTC Portsmouth Students

On the 20th of March 2017, Her Royal Highness Princess Royal has visited IBTC Portsmouth and inspected our students’ work as part of her official visit to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and Boathouse 4.

IBTC Portsmouth students had an opportunity to chat to HRH Princess Royal about the progress of their projects and show off the different items they had been working on.

Below, our student Ed is answering questions about the oar he is making in the joinery workshop.

As part of the royal tour around the boatyard, our students set up and performed a demonstration of a steaming exercise.

Students gathered around HRH Princess Royal sharing their experience at IBTC Portsmouth.

HRH Princess Royal is receiving  3 sets of a model boat kits from Store Technician, Sophie, to take away for her grandchildren to put together.
