The 15 June 2017 was a proud day for IBTC Portsmouth who aim to launch a boat every year.

Although very tired when she came to IBTC Portsmouth Isabel II offered students at IBTC Portsmouth an excellent opportunity to learn about rebuilding major structural elements in such a craft. Her original teak interior has now been carefully restored and refitted alongside her new teak laid deck. You can visit Boathouse 4 free of charge to watch progress on the next heritage craft boat projects.

With 100% employment rate of graduates to date IBTC Portsmouth are a world-renowned training provider teaching techniques of traditional wooden boatbuilding and related transferable skills. Based in the heart of Portsmouth Historic Dockyard their graduates qualify with the IBTC Practical Diploma in Wooden Boatbuilding in addition to the City and Guilds 2463 Level 3 qualification in Marine Construction, Systems Engineering and Maintenance.
